As per usual, life has been hectic. I ended up getting that job at the advertising firm, however I wont be starting there until the summer when I will be able to work full time. So that is very excitinggg. I am kind of glad that they haven’t hired me for straight away (though if they had’ve I would have gone straight for it), as uni has just been nuts. I’ve started an extra unit for this semester, so I feel like the work load has doubled. One more week and I get a study week, which will be greeeat. Means I can knuckle down and get everything done and up to date.
Things have been a little topsy-turvy lately with Taj actually. We have been spending practically every hour of every day with each other since we got back from NZ. We have very similar timetables at uni, so we often share lifts. Then most nights we stay at each others house. I think we both noticed at once that we were becoming rather intolerant towards one another and having stupid little fights over stupid little things. So we’ve decided that we need to create a balance in our lives; when we’re together and apart. (Sounds silly and so typical, but its working). Since we’ve been a lot better, though I’ve been using petrol like a byatch, haha.
That reminds me! I got another car finally. Only last week actually. The bloody insurance companies took their damn time and made it extra hard. They kept on trying to put the blame of me for the crash, when it was so obvious that I was the victim. Lucky for me, the other people involved were really good and told the truth. I ended up getting a new Mitsubishi Lancer, which is very nice I must admit, but I miss the old Tiburon. I guess also because I was so used to driving it and its handling and all that. Oh well.
Last night was crazy actually. It was Emma’s 18th! She hired out one of the clubs for the night, had it totally decked out and the music pumping. Oh, and who could forget the rather large bar tab! So cheap drinks all round. Emma, Jack and I got free drinks, so I drank a little too much. Oh well, got to celebrate your best mate’s birthday with a bang! Em’s folks had surprised her and hired a Hummer Limo for the night, so a group of us friends had pre-drinks at hers and then we cruised in the limo to the club. Now, you’re probably wondering, how the frick did I get in, since I’m not 18 as of yet? Well, number one, no one asked for ID. Number two, I was on the VIP list. And finally number three, fake ID. I’m not one to break the law or be a rebel or anything, but when you’re born in the last month of the year, it kind of sucks especially when ALL of your mates and your boyfriend can go out clubbing and what not, and I can’t. And plus, this was my besties 18th!!!!! So yeahhh, we had a great night, dancing.
Em and I went on our traditional “before party” shopping trip the week before to pick out our outfits. Em had already bought her dress over in Europe a couple of months before hand, a psychedelic Dolce mini-dress. Definitely a party/birthday-girl dress. I ended up with a on-sale Vera Wang little black dress with that classic one shoulder strap and awesome broach. Fantastic. Em bought a pair of skin-coloured pumps, a long necklace and a mixture of bangles. That girl got style. Hahahaha.
We murdered the dance floor last night, totally embarrassing ourselves, but we sure did have fun!
Now, I have to go study. I have a test tomorrow morning and I neeeeeed to ace it! Oh the life of the party-goers. XOXO (like my excessive list of catagories?) LOL
