I’m not dead! I am in fact alive, haha, just incredibly busy, as you can imagine. Uni went back yesterday, so I’ve been busy buying stuff for that. Also, NZ was freaking amazing. I had the TIME OF MY LIFE. Updates on that laterrrr. Um, what else? Yeah, can’t remember. LOL.

What’s been going on with you guys?

Ciao :]

I finally have all the details for our foursome trip. We were all meant to catch up yesterday over lunch (Taj, Emma, Jack and I), but it ended up being delayed till dinner. So, we’re flying to Sydney on Thursday morning, staying at the Hyatt hotel for the night, then to Christchurch (NZ) on Friday morning. We’re going to stay in Christchurch that night at the Crowne Plaza. There are quite a few surf shops over there (more like snow shops) where there is an extensive range of boarding gear. I wouldn’t mind another jacket, a pair of wp pants and goggles. I never buy any snow stuff over here in Australia cause it’s just so damn expensive and limited. Then, if the weather is clear on Saturday we are going to head over to Mount Cook (NZ’s highest mountain) and stay at the Hermitage Hotel, which is just lovely. It’s a beautiful place there and the snow play is great! Hehe. Oh yes, and we’ve hired a hire car for the duration of the stay. The next day it is off to Queenstown, where we’re going to go shopping and buy lots of junk food and easy-to-prepare meals, though we’ve decided to go out for the majority :D . Hehehe. And then for the rest of our stay we’ll be boarding it up on the slopes of Coronet and The Remarkables. Then we’ll head back to Sydney on the 25th via the Queenstown Airport and then back home on the 26th; home in time for the start of the uni semester. It’s a little less that two weeks, but omigosh, it’s gunna be fun! I can’t wait to go out partying with Emma. Yaaay!

Got back Wednesday night. Much better now; flu has almost gone now (just have those annoying post-flu cold symptoms). Oh yes, and now my wardrobe is fuller than ever. So glad I bought an extra empty suitcase with me, because it came back full to the brim! Shoes, tops, dresses, a leather jacket (finally), pants, underwear, belts, books, magazines, leggings, cheap designer make-up, clutches and over-sized bags. Girly heaven? Definitely. I also bought some new snow goggles whilst over there. Cool.

Okay, the ball. Was fun! Total fun. I didn’t go to the after-party as I was flying out the next day, but it didn’t matter. I wore my gorgeous purple silk strapless gown, with a sweetheart neckline and ruching. I’ve had it for a while but haven’t had anywhere to wear it. And there sure was plenty of eye-candy! Hehehe. I danced with Chanel and Sasha all night long. It was a great girls night out.

I got my uni results back for semester one. And… I got two high distinctions and two distinctions! Pretty sweet, huh?

Anyway, I have to go. I’m meeting up with Emma, Jack and Taj today for lunch to organise our trip. I still have to pack as well. Ah!

Melbourne Flu

So, I’ve come down with the flu pretty bad over here. It started on our last day at Hotham – I could just feel it coming along. I ended up sleeping in bed for half the day, which totally sucked cause I missed out on a good few hours boarding. When I woke up late that arvo I felt like someone had thrown a rock to my head, and when I stared into the mirror I realised that I didn’t just feel it, I sure did look it too!

I’m in my hotel room now, unable to sleep. I’m so terribly tired, yet I can not sleep. I just feel way too sick. I’m meant to be coming home on the following Wednesday, but quite frankly I wish I was home right now. Melinda says that she wouldn’t let me fly in this state, which is probably a good idea on her behalf, so I’m Melbourne-struck till I’m a bit better. I sure hope I can go home on Wednesday.

Oh yeah, and I’m meant to be flying out a week and a bit after that to Queenstown, New Zealand. Right now, not reaaaaally looking forward to it. I know by the time it comes around I should be over the flu and probably really excited, but still. It’s like my first trip with my mates and no parents. It’s gunna be absolutely freezing over there, haha. That reminds me, I better get Dad to organise the heating in our place in QT. We’ve got all that floor heating and all that jazz at the house, so if we don’t switch it on like a week before we arrive then it won’t have warmed up efficiently and we will be freezing our little socks off.

Time to turn on some Foxtel; maybe watch a bit of Australia’s Next Top Model or a repeat game of AFL. I’m hoping to get out of this room sometime during the day, even if it’s just down to the lobby to grab a bite to eat.

Just a quickie guys. So Melbourne has been good so far. It even snowed a fair bit the last few nights, so Mel and I planned a couple of days of snow boarding and skiing (she ski’s). I am at Hotham at the moment, one of Australia’s most popular slopes, and it sure is cold! I wasn’t expecting to get any boarding in till I go to New Zealand, so I’m pretty stoked right now. Anyway, so I’ll bring you more news wen I get the time. I’m just on a quick lunch break from sb atm, so I best go grab a nice hot chocolate and something warm to eat! Hehe.
