Sorry guys, looks like I’m going away for a bit. Melinda surprised me with a trip to Melbourne for a couple of weeks. Hopefully I will be able to get a few posts while I’m over there (thank goodness for wireless). I leave tomorrow morning, so I’ve got heaps of packing to do, anddd I gutta get ready for the ball. Hahaha. So just letting you know, if I don’t write or comment you back it’s cause I have a good excuse. I will reply to you all asap!
Love much, Kate :]
Dude, I get so much freaking spam its unbelievable. Thank goodness for Akismet!
So, I got a call yesterday morning from Chanel, a chick from uni. We had pretty much all of our lectures and tutes together last semester and with another girl, Sasha. Anyway, she told me to go catch up with her and Sasha for lunch. They live a fair way away, so it was like a half hour drive for me (we met in the middle). And yep, I drove. Dad let me borrow his car, since I don’t have one (we’re still sorting through the stupid insurance crap). And you know what, I wasn’t fazed one bit. You know how you here about how people have bad crashes and every time they get back into a car they get totally freaked? Well, I wasn’t like that, LOL. I met up with Chanel and Sasha at a cute little Japanese restaurant (yum, yum). We said we were going to catch up and chill during our break, but I wasn’t sure when. It sure was a great catch up though. We just told each other about our breaks so far and stuff. Sasha is already 18, so she bragged about going clubbing and pubbing and the rest of it. But yeah, it was just nice to have some quality girl time. They’re really gorgeous gals and we became pretty close over the semester, so yeahhhh. :] Haha.
Oh, and Sasha invited Chanel and I to a ball! It’s some ball for her brother’s football team or something, so that should be pretty swish. Only thing is, we kinda got short notice… It’s tomorrow night. That doesn’t bother me though, I can do my hair myself. :] Hehehe.
Love ya’s!
Edit// YIKES! To the people hitting on me or thinking about hitting on me on the internet, the answer is, no. Sorry, but fuck off and get a life (the internet is cool, but to meet your one and only you gutta get off your ass and go out and meet people, k?) :]. I HAVE A BOYFRIEND IF YOU HADN’T ALREADY NOTICED! …Well, I’m glad I got that out. Have a nice day.
Oh and also, I won’t display your comments to save your own humiliation. Cool mate?
Oh my, I am feeling back to my old self again. Since the crash, as you know, I have been pretty down-in-the-dumps. I think I’ve had too much time to think which equates to OVER-THINKING! (Ahhhh). Now that my body and head have pretty much recovered (as the doc said), I can get on with my life, and my uni winter break. I did something totally crazy this morning. I woke up bright and early and chucked on an old bikini and jumped in the pool without hesitation. Sure, it’s a sunny day and if you stay in the same spot under the sun for long enough you might feel some warmth, but we’re talking about a chilly cold sunny day, where there are no clouds in the sky to keep in the heat from the sun. I did a few laps but decided I was getting hypothermia and got out. I felt totally refreshed and I could feel my nipples freeze off. Then I heard Dad shout down to me from his balcony, “Top of the morning to you too”. Well, that’s the end of my random story today. Hope you enjoyed it.
Oh-ki-doh-ki. Now, I know you’re all probably busting at the seems to read about my little date with my babeh boy Taj, but I can’t tell you… HAH! As if I’d keep a secret from ya’s. Soooo anyways, he picked me up (which was very out of the way for him cause he lives SOOOO far away) and we went to a cute little restaurant in the hills (we dined inside as it was way too cold outside). We talked and laughed and smiled and talked some more and laughed some more. The food was great, but even if it wasn’t I wouldn’t have noticed anyway. It’s funny because I keep on hearing how romance is dead, but I think Taj is doing a superb job at bringing it back alive. I never knew how romantic he was. Maybe that is because I didn’t see him as more than a friend for so long. And maybe the reason he is being so romantic is because he wants to show me a different side to him. After our great dinner he dropped me home like a gentleman, not expecting anything afterwards. I was at home for about 20 minutes before I ran over to his place. He wasn’t asleep either, so we hung out for a while. We went for a walk along the windy beach and talked for a while longer. I think it was that night where we truly made that transition from being best mates to boyfriend and girlfriend.
(I totally wrote and posted this page YESTERDAY ARVO, but wordpress didn’t publish it properly! Grr. Here it is now anyways.)
I haven’t written in a couple of days but I thought I’d better before I go out tonight. Hmm, what’s new? Nothing. I’m going out with Taj tonight. He’s taking me to dinner at an exclusive restaurant and then see what goes on from there, hahaha. Hint-hint, nudge-nudge, much?! Hehe. So yes, should be good. It’s actually like our first proper date. Crazy, huh. I couldn’t imagine not being with this guy. He’s a keeper.
Ciao for now lovelies :]
I didn’t end up going out yesterday with Em. She called me up and said that she was “really sorry” and that “she couldn’t make it” and that Jack needed her or some shit. What about me, Kate, you know, that chick who you used to see all the time, your best mate? Remember her? I’m not too convinced that she does.
You may believe that I am overreacting, but the truth is, maybe it is for the best. Life after school is hard, in terms of keeping in touch with people anyhow. I haven’t kept in touch with a lot of people, which I regret to some extent (though I do still see the majority of them at parties, etc). It’s just a bit harder with Emma, to be ‘cool with it’, with us drifting apart. She’s been my bestie since her and her family moved here when we were in (I think) Grade 4 at Primary School. The minute we met I knew she’d be significant in my life. And she has been. Now that girl taught me how to party. She is such a party girl, so lively and energetic. And confident! Ultra-confident. Lately though, all that has faded a bit. Not so lively or energetic or confident anymore. And I don’t believe she has gone to a proper dance-till-you-drop party for a while. Sometimes I think, maybe the reason she has changed is because of her boyfriend, Jack. Emma has never been much of a relationship girl, so when she got hooked up by Jack, I was very surprised, but so happy for her. Or maybe she has just grown up.
I was just looking forward to seeing her yesterday I spose; shopping buddies like the old days.
So I spent the afternoon cleaning my room. I didn’t finish but it is looking waaaay better already. Don’t you just love walking into a neat and tidy room after it being messy for such a long time?
