I’m loving the songs Soulmate and Wild Horses, both by Natasha Bedingfield. Very pretty, ya knawwww. :]
I guess that I miss Taj (well, nuhduuuuh). I set up my webcam this morning for the first time, so we could chat on Skype and see each other. He is looking terribly sun kissed. I’d swap with the sun any day. He looked really good though, really happy. He looked incredibly tired though, which you’d expect since he’s been surfing practically 24/7 for the last month. Apparently it’s always up-and-go all the time. If there’s good surf somewhere, no matter what time (apart from at night) then they get up and surf. He says he’s still not sure the exact date he’ll be back from the other side of the country, but it should be sometime next week. Ah, can not wait. I’m going to pick him up from the airport. It’s funny, how finally we’re together, yet not together. :\ Hmmmmm…

I had another two exams today, and thank goodness it’s over.
Okie dokie, back to the question… (by the way I think I’m on a role. I haven’t blogged this much in like foreverrrrr). Well, I graduated from high school last year and now I’m at university completing a four year degree in Design. We major in our second year, so at the moment I’m just learning about the basic design skills. It’s an awesome course as it is creative and practical, and at the same time there’s theory as well. We learn about all sorts of things, not just the obvious elements and principles. We get to learn about communication and sub-cultures and all sorts of stuff you wouldn’t think of.
My uni is awesome, and recognized as one of the best institutions in the country. I love it there. There’s so many facilities. I’m even thinking about quitting my gym and joining the uni gym. ere’s a billion cute cafes and a food court and a bank and a pub and a massive humungous library and everything. Uni was something I worked my ass off for throughout high school, so it was great to get there and realised that I’d made the right choice.
As for my Dad, that’s a secret I’ll never tell ;]. He-he-he.

I was right, Taj’s folks are renovating their kitchen.
So, my first exam went well today, I think. It was hard, but I’ve definitely passed. Or at least I think I have…
Okay, another question from Dan (maybe I should start charging per question? Ha-ha-ha). Describe the people around you, your school and studies. Now let me see, right now, I’m by myself, so there’s no one really to talk about there, apart from the gorgeous former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins who is posing next to my laptop on the cover Cosmopolitan… Just mucking with you ;]. Well, there’s my Dad who is quite the business man, whom I love with all my heart. There’s my Dad’s girlfriend Melinda, who is likable, and now lives with us. She could never replace Mum though, no one ever could. Taj, who is 19, my boyfriend (ha-ha, I must admit, it is kind of weird saying that). He’s such an amazing guy, my neighbour and best friend. Emma, who is also my best friend, though we seem a little bit distracted at the moment from each other. I have a ton of other great mates: from university, old high school friends, family friends and party friends. A lot of my associates are pretty stuck up, especially the older women. The people my age don’t see to be so much, though I can see a few turning into their mothers.
Oh goodness, I have to go! Melinda is making us have a family dinner, ha-ha-ha. Smells good. I will answer the other half of the question soon (tomorrow I hope).
I have a billion things to do right now, not to mention studying for exams which I have been putting off for the last few hours. Hmm, let me see, I’ve read the April and June issue of Cosmopolitan, watched the first few episodes of the first season of Sex And The City (prepping myself for the big movie) and spoken to Taj on the phone for an hour or so. I SHOULD study, I know I should, so somebody, PLEASE give me motivation!

Awesome, so now that I have that out of my system, I can continue. Yeah, nothing much new down my way, though I do have my suspicions that Taj’s parents are renovating their kitchen (I don’t actually know that it’s their kitchen, but its some room, and the kitchen is a popular renovation site – Note to self: ask Taj tonight).
Okie dokie. So, I got a request from Dan-the-man (the blogger of Towards Utopia – go check it out) to describe where I live. Now, I took this suggestion in two ways: to describe the awesomely awesome country Australia OR describe where I actually live (cardboard box, blah blah). So, I thought I’d answer both…
Seems like a lot of people are really interested in and attracted to Australia. And I can not blame them. It truly is a beautiful country. We have quite a few International students at my university (HEAPS in fact) from all over the world. They all mention the world-renown beaches, the incredible weather and the laid-back atmosphere. Sure, the beaches truly are probably the best in the world (for swimming, surfing, beach cricket, tanning – whatever tickles your fancy), but believe it or not, it does rain here on the odd occasion. Ha-ha-ha. I feel so lucky to live here, and I would recommend to anyone to come a visit, come holiday and site-seeing and the rest of that stuff. Obviously if you came you would be a fool not to go to Sydney and check out the Harbour Bridge, famous Sydney Opera House and Bondi beach, but don’t forget about the rest. All states offers something unique (though I must admit I’ve never been to the Nothern Territory or South Australia). Melbourne is our fashion capital, and a must for incredible shopping. Tasmania has exquisite forests and the purest air on Earth. Queensland has some awesome theme parks and is famous for its Goldcoast, and of course, the Great Barrier Reef. Then head over to Western Australia to see the famous Ningaloo Reef and swim with the Whale Sharks. You can’t beat the long pure white sand beaches in WA either. Head down south to places like Margaret River for surfing and world-class wine vineyards (Dad is a fan of Margs for obvious reasons). LOL. Australia is so diverse in its country, from rain forests to beaches and snow capped mountain ranges to dry desert. Oh yes, and over here you ride in a kangaroo’s pouch to uni, and for entertainment we watch them box. *eye’s roll*
Me, personally, I prefer the beach. That’s where I’ve grown up. I live in a house right on the beach near the city. I guess you could say the area is upper-class snobsville suburbia, however, I would definitely not fit myself into that catagory. Thanks. My house, you could say, is very nice. It’s big and modern. My own little haven, my room, has a cute balcony looking out onto the vast ocean. That’s where I’d be right now typing away on my Macbook if I wasn’t so gloomy out there. There’s a little pathway down the side of my house to the beach. On the other side of the pathway is a fence, and beyond that Taj’s place. Oh how I miss Taj… Oops, sorry. So yes, this is where I live. A few minutes away from mine is a nice cafe strip where I like to hang out, grab a coffee and a meal. I suppose you could say I’ve had a privileged up-bringing, but so many people mistaken what I’m like. All they see is the material stuff, and not beyond.
So there you have it kids. I hope that I’ve given you a ‘unique perspective’ of where I live Dan. :] Any questions? But seriously, if anyone has any questions about anything, give us a yell!
xoxo
I really do wish I had the motivation and TIME to write more. I do enjoy having this blog and the people that comment. Uni is so busy at the moment. I only have a few more weeks, which is just great, till my winter break (that’s two-months of awesome holidays). I’m going to New Zealand with Taj and Emma and her lover. Snowboarding for a week straight – CAN’T WAIT! Coronet Peak and Remarkables here I come. I’m definitely going to have to buy some new snow clothes. Oh, and lot’s of thick heavy gorgeous scarves.
It sucks for you guys that I haven’t been writing more. You’ve missed a fair bit. Such as the ball. That was something. Well, you all know how I wanted a hot date for the glitz and glamour charity event, and I got one. One I didn’t expect. I ended up going with Shane (for those of you who don’t know, he’s an ex – I dated him for 3 years back in my high school days). I was very surprised when he asked me, since we hadn’t really spoken since last year. I mean, we talk a little bit here and there, but nothing major. I was even more surprised when I said yes to him. It was nice to catch up, as mates. But I sort of left him half way through the night, but he was totally understanding. Taj was at the ball. He wanted to surprise me! And he looked very hunky spunky in his Armani suit. It was so perfect the way things were. You can guess where things went. He ended up kissing me while we were dancing and ahh. I kind of just melted. It was the most perfect breath-taking kiss ever. All I could think was ‘finally’. Crazy huh.
He had to fly back to his surf team the day after, for an other week. But now apparently he’s staying away till early next month, which is like so frustrating. All I want to do is be with him and melt! He-he-he. I actually love him. I’ve always been in-love with him, it just took me a while to realise. He calls me everyday and we speak for hours.
Everything is going great for a change, apart from the massive loads of work for uni. But, yay. Makes you feel so good.
