Last night, as you know, my Dad had his work dinner for all his employee’s and the ‘important’ rich business people. It was all booked to be at this gorgeous hall by the river, but during the day the power went out there and Dad didn’t want to risk having it there anymore just incase it didn’t come back on. Luckily for us, we have contacts, and he ended up having at a hotel ballroom in the city.

I wore my new dress from Witchery and new pumps, along with sequinned clutch and bangles. I also had the privelidge of wearing Mum’s diamond earrings. My Mum died about four years ago now, so you can see what an honour it was for me to wear them. I won’t go into my Mum or anything, just because that’s personal, but I will say how much I love her and miss her, but I’m not sad anymore; she’s happy now. :)

I had a good night, spending the majority of it with Taj. It was only family that was invited, so poor Rachael couldn’t come and ruin yet another night. Apparently Taj is going on a surf roadtrip around Australia with his mate Nate once his uni exams are over for the year; which is exciting for him, but I’m going to miss him. As for me, Dad’s been talking about going over to Queenstown (New Zealand) and spending a month there at the holiday house for the summer. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Queenstown, but not in summer. I mean, I prefer it in winter, when the ski-fields are open (Coronet Peak and the Remarkables) and I can go snowboarding. Here I am, rambling on again! Back to the dinner… Yeah, so Taj ended up asking me to dance, which was really sweet. I don’t know what it was, but I felt we made some sort of connection, as friends. It was nice, it really was. I’m so lucky to have a friend like him.

Actually, I met these two girl’s there last night. They were extremely annoying! I think they’re one of the new guy’s daughters. Anyway, one was sixteen and the other was fourteen. At first I thought they were trying to get with Taj or something, but as the night went on I swear they were trying to get with me! Ha-ha-ha. Well, not literally, but they wouldn’t stop following me. They even followed me to the toilet and waited for me outside the cubical door! I was like, WTF!!!? Thank goodness I never have to see them again.

Oh shit! Look at the time, sorry guys, gutta cut this one short. I have to get ready!
