I graduated last night!
Omg people! I can not believe it. Thirteen years of school and it’s over, like that. Of course I still have my TEE exams, but still. It was really good, but I can’t talk for long as I need to finish packing. Daddy has surprised me with a trip to Sydney. I leave in about four hours, and I come home on Tuesday. It should be really good. We’re staying at the Hyatt hotel, like we always do when we go to Sydney. I just want to relax while I’m there, though Dad has a business dinner he wants me to attend so I guess I have to go to that.
I really have to go guys, but I should be able to blog on my laptop while I’m over there, if I can be fucked.
Last Saturday night (not last night) Emma and I ended up cruising with Taj and some of his mates, Nate and Jack. We had so much fun. Taj ended up having to leave us and go see Rachael, but the good times kept on rolling. Ha-ha. We actually ended up at Jack’s place. Emma and Jack have had something going on for a while now, so they were off up in his room. Ha-ha-ha, tut-tut. Nate and I were downstairs in Jack’s cinema room. And yes, we did end up hooking up. But it was really nice. Usually I hate hook ups, but this time it didn’t seem so unnatural. We just cuddled the whole night; he is super cute. He has these long blonde surfy locks and gorgeous tanned skin. He asked me to go out with him again, which we did do this last Friday night. We went out to dinner at his favourite Japanese restaurant. He was super polite and lovely and he made great conversation. When you first see him you’d think he’s just another cocky surfy dickhead, but he’s not like that at all. When he dropped me home he even walked me to my door and gave me a kiss goodnight. This whole thing has kind of made me realise how much I miss the way Shane and I were; not saying that I miss Shane at all though. Nate has been calling me every night too. Usually I would get pissed off with this, but there’s something about him that I just really like. In fact, I ended up cancelling partying with Emma last night because Nate and I were so caught up talking. Boyfriend/girlfriend? Who knows. He-he.

Last night, as you know, my Dad had his work dinner for all his employee’s and the ‘important’ rich business people. It was all booked to be at this gorgeous hall by the river, but during the day the power went out there and Dad didn’t want to risk having it there anymore just incase it didn’t come back on. Luckily for us, we have contacts, and he ended up having at a hotel ballroom in the city.
I wore my new dress from Witchery and new pumps, along with sequinned clutch and bangles. I also had the privelidge of wearing Mum’s diamond earrings. My Mum died about four years ago now, so you can see what an honour it was for me to wear them. I won’t go into my Mum or anything, just because that’s personal, but I will say how much I love her and miss her, but I’m not sad anymore; she’s happy now.
I had a good night, spending the majority of it with Taj. It was only family that was invited, so poor Rachael couldn’t come and ruin yet another night. Apparently Taj is going on a surf roadtrip around Australia with his mate Nate once his uni exams are over for the year; which is exciting for him, but I’m going to miss him. As for me, Dad’s been talking about going over to Queenstown (New Zealand) and spending a month there at the holiday house for the summer. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Queenstown, but not in summer. I mean, I prefer it in winter, when the ski-fields are open (Coronet Peak and the Remarkables) and I can go snowboarding. Here I am, rambling on again! Back to the dinner… Yeah, so Taj ended up asking me to dance, which was really sweet. I don’t know what it was, but I felt we made some sort of connection, as friends. It was nice, it really was. I’m so lucky to have a friend like him.
Actually, I met these two girl’s there last night. They were extremely annoying! I think they’re one of the new guy’s daughters. Anyway, one was sixteen and the other was fourteen. At first I thought they were trying to get with Taj or something, but as the night went on I swear they were trying to get with me! Ha-ha-ha. Well, not literally, but they wouldn’t stop following me. They even followed me to the toilet and waited for me outside the cubical door! I was like, WTF!!!? Thank goodness I never have to see them again.
Oh shit! Look at the time, sorry guys, gutta cut this one short. I have to get ready!
So, I’ve been thinking, and I would really like to know a bit about you; the people that read my blog. Now, I know I get a few people checking it out, and it’d be interesting to see the type of people that are interested in it. And of course if you comment, I will return the favour. So please! Let me know a bit about yourselves!
I would really like to build up an online group of friends.
As you know I had my last exam Wednesday afternoon: English Literature. I think it went well. I wrote a bloody ton and my hand was throbbing afterwards. Then Emma picked me up and we got our nails done. I just got a manicure, french tips (I don’t do fake nails) and a pedicure. They look soooo much better. We went shopping afterwards and I mjade a few purchases, of course. Myer had a small sale on, and I bought some super skinny light-blue jeans. They are hot as. Then we went to Witchery, one of my favoruite stores. I spent a small-fortune here, buying two complete outfits, other bits and pieces, and accessories. Here’s a list (ha-ha, my bad!):
-
My dad is having a work dinner tonight at a gorgeous venue by
the river (my dad has his own law firm, which he is in business with Taj’s dad in), so I was keeping my eye out for something to wear. I go to these things all the time, so I know the run down: cocktail dresses and suits. When I saw this mini-robe dress in Witchery, I knew I just had to have it. And it was pretty cheap too: $199.95. I also bought a gorgeous little leather clutch with sequins and a pair of Stuart Weitzman peep-toe pumps to go with it. I’m not going to wear a necklace, but I bought some costume-jewelry bangles and I will wear Mum’s diamond earrings. I’m sure Dad won’t mind… -
Then on Saturday night Emma and I are going to cruise town. Again from Witchery, I bought an off-white Viscose Bow Camisole, a cute brown Viscose Cropped Party Jacket and a black pair of cotton above-the-knee shorts. Very cute outfit, with a pair of flats and large cream pip bag.

It’s going to be 32 degree’s tomorrow, which is just absolutely beautiful! I got a bit excited for summer and spending long days at the beach, and I bought a Jacquard silk blouse, which would be perfect over a new pair of bikini’s (which I am yet to find).
Cool cool! I think this blog has become a bit of a fashion blog, eh! Ha-ha-ha. S’all good, yo! Well, speaking of the beach, I’m going to go there right now. It’s a beautiful sunny day, so why not enjoy the sun?
I know I haven’t written for like ever! And that’s bad because I had only just started to blog. So for that I’m truley sorry. But I do have a good excuse! School has been going nuts laterly with heaps of work, tests and EXAMS. So far I’ve had Chemistry, Calculus, History and Art. I have my last mock exam tonight, which I am thankful for. Then I have a few tutes at school, then gradutaion and then finally my TEE (Teriary Entrance Exams). It will be all over by mid-November, which is very exciting.
I really shouldn’t have made this blog until school was over, so sorry chicks and fella’s! I will try and keep you informed, but yeah, I can’t promise anything. But I will be back once school is done.
Just some updates on the whole Taj/Shane/Rachael situation (which was ages ago but okay, haha):
-
Taj and I are back to normal. We sorted things out and what not.
-
… But he is back with Rachael, and she is taking over his life.
-
Shane tried to apologise for the incident at Emma’s party, but of course I wouldn’t have a word of it. And obviously ever since he’s been slutting it up with 14-15 year olds. Loser!
And me? Well, I’m just trying to focus on study at the moment. I didn’t even go out last weekend, for the first time in like forever. Everyone was like, ‘where are you Katie!???’. Ha-ha-ha. Life of the weekend or what?! I didn’t even see Emma last weekend, though she’s picking me up after my exam tonight and we’re gunna go get our nails done, grab a caramel latte from Gloria Jeans and chill. I made an appointment at the hairdressers for tomorrow afternoon as well to get rid of my horrid split ends. My hair is getting so long now, so I have to keep it in good shape. I’m thinking about going blonde… but I’m not sure! It’s a big decision. I’ve only ever had light blonde foils through my hair before when I was like Year 8, and they grew out long ago. At the moment my hair is a very light brown, and it’s healthy and nice and long. I feel like a change though, and summer IS coming up… Hmmm! Decisions, decisions, huh?!
Well I’m going to go and hit up the books. Might even go to the beach to study, even if it isn’t a good day for it. Actually, stuff it, I won’t. Ha-ha, it’s just started to rain! Not like I need a tan anyway, mu-ha-ha-ha.
